The 2026 cruise season began in Boston with the arrival of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) ship Norwegian Breakaway.

The April 14 cruise was a 5-nighter to Bermuda. She’ll then run weekly cruises departing every Sunday from April 19 through November 1 that go to Bermuda, Bermuda/Halifax, or Canada/New England. On November 8, she’ll finish the season with a 14-night repositioning cruise to New Orleans.
According to Massport, she is the largest cruise ship ever to homeport at Flynn Cruiseport Boston. NCL lists her at 145,655 gross tons, 1,068 feet long, and as having a passenger capacity of 3,903.
My family and I were onboard Norwegian Breakaway in 2017 for a Florida and Bahamas cruise out of New York City. Highlights for us included the jazz club, improv shows, and dining in Le Bistro, as noted in my journal.
Overall, Flynn Cruiseport Boston expects 23 cruise lines to call on Boston between now and November. View the full schedule.
Other ships to homeport here in spring and summer 2026 include Holland America Line’s Volendam and Zuiderdam. Joining for departures in the fall are Celebrity Silhouette, Sapphire Princess, and Windstar’s Star Pride.
