Boston’s 1st multi-ship day of 2024

I said hello to a couple of old friends today as Volendam and Europa 2 called on Boston. It was Boston’s first 2-ship day of the 2024 cruise season.

Volendam embarked passengers today for a 7-day cruise to Montreal, having returned from a Montreal-to-Boston cruise this morning. The 1,432-passenger ship is 1 of 2 Holland America Line ships to home port in Boston this year. (The other is Zuiderdam, starting August 24.)

Europa 2 is currently on day 13 of an 18-day cruise from Miami to Montreal. The Hapag-Lloyd cruise ship does worldwide itineraries and carries just 500 passengers. This will be her only visit to Boston this year.

The next 2-ship day at Cruiseport Boston is scheduled for June 8, when Volendam is joined by Island Princess.
