Earlier this week, I stopped by the cruise terminal in Boston to welcome Brilliant Lady, the newest ship from Virgin Voyages, on her first visit to New England.

Brilliant Lady is currently on her inaugural season of Canada and New England cruises, which began in New York on September 15, 2025.
My initial thoughts were that she seemed to be a reasonable size and was not as boxy as I’d imagined from photos I’d seen previously. Despite the 7 decks of aft-facing cabins, she appears to have a good deal of outdoor space for public use.
The statistics from Virgin Voyages back up my observations. She’s 912 feet long, has a passenger capacity of 2,762, and boasts a comfortable passenger-to-space ratio of 39.8.
And although she’s adults-only, I’m pleased to note that there are cabins that can accommodate my family of 3 adults (plus a few for 4 adults).
Brilliant Lady is the 4th cruise ship for Virgin Voyages, which also operates Scarlet Lady (2021), Valiant Lady (2022), and Resilient Lady (2023).
She will return to Boston on September 25 and October 11 of this year.
