These are the books I selected to read this Lusitania Week, which runs from May 1 (109th anniversary of her departure from New York) through May 7 (anniversary of the sinking).

I’m starting with 180 Years of Cunard, by Chris Frame and Rachelle Ross, which I picked up last summer in the bookshop on Queen Mary 2.
Next will be The Unseen Lusitania: The Ship in Rare Illustrations, by Eric Sauder, who I’m honored to have known for several years.
And third, Lusitania: An Illustrated Biography, by J. Kent Layton. I’ll be re-reading the 2015 centennial edition as I await the June 2024 release of the first of an expanded 2-volume set. More to come on that.
