Our chariot awaits—a QUEEN MARY 2 teaser

After years of admiring her from afar, we finally made our first voyage on QUEEN MARY 2. The date was August 11, 2023, and I penned this from our hotel room at 10:12 am.

“QUEEN MARY 2 arrived in Southampton during the overnight hours (5:41 docking, per MarineTraffic), so we got our first glimpse an hour later, after she was in place at the Mayflower Terminal, through our hotel room window. Our chariot awaits!

“Mary looks beautiful at the pier. This isn’t the closest I’ve ever been to her, but it’s the most special as we will be boarding soon.”

Stay tuned for descriptive journal entries from our seven-night westbound transatlantic crossing and the preceding days touring Southampton.
